In their attempts to grab our attention, advertisers have resorted to the most bizarre and surreal imagery imaginable. The sort of things that we take for granted today, were unthinkable thirty years ago, and I have to wonder what sort of effect they are having upon our collective psyche. I suspect the sociological implication are enormous, but probably impossible to determine the farther we march to some sort of omega point in our ability to create new hyperrealities using computer generated graphics.
