Video Poker 'Disabled by secondary host'

Well this is truly bizarre...I can't find a single reference to this on the internet, so I might be the only person to comment on it.
My Mom often plays at the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, and she loves to play the Video Poker machines. On her last trip, earlier this week, after winning 5 or 6 hands in a row, a message popped up saying "TERMINAL DISABLED", "DISABLED BY SECONDARY HOST", and only gave her the option to cash out - yet as soon as she did, and left the machine, it was working again. She asked the casino workers about this and they told her she was crazy... there was no such thing as a poker machine being "disabled" and they had never seen such a message. A short while later, after winning several more hands in a row... the message popped up again. She captured it on her cell phone (not the best quality).
As you can see, the message is quite real. I enhanced (sharpened) the image to make the message clear. Does anybody know what this is all about? Was somebody at the casino "cheating" my Mom because she was winning? What is going on here?
